What's going on at Mott Park Kindy?
The kindy holidays are coming to an end and the ‘Kindy Fairies’ have been busy! There’s some new flowers down by the cubby, our veggie garden has had a makeover with a clear out of old plants, compost added and we dug the soil out of our old flower pots and put it into the veggie patch and wow wee were there some worms in there! They’d been digging around in the lovely wet soil and having a wonderful time and now they are making a new home in the veggie patch helping our new veggie plants grow! We’ve got some peas growing up the trellis, some lettuces, some lovely fragrant herbs all enjoying the lovely rich soil.
We’ve given some TLC to the worm farm over the holidays too, making sure that our little mates have some snacks until we get back into the swing of things and a moist home that they are happy in.
Our compost bin has had a spin and we look forward to adding scraps to make some more rich soil for more veggies we might like to plant as the weather cools down and becomes ideal growing weather.
