I have enjoyed being a co-director and teacher at Mott Park since 2003. I am dedicated to helping children be all of who they can be. I love making connections with our families and supporting parents in their parenting role. No two days are the same and I continue to be inspired to learn and grow alongside the children, families and my colleagues.
Rachel - Associate Diploma Education & Care - Group 1 Assistant Educator
I joined the Mott Park Kindy Community last year when one of my sons attended. We had such a wonderful year and now I’ve been lucky enough to join this amazing team. Before and while having my own children I worked as an early years teacher and as an inclusive support teacher in a school. I really enjoy working with children, developing relationships with them, supporting them with their learning and development and seeing them play, explore and master new skills. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this special year at Kindy.
Rachel Yelland - Master of Education, Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Years) & Bachelor of Creative Industries (Dance) - Group 2 Teacher
I joined the Mott Park Kindy community this year and feel very grateful to be part of such a caring and welcoming team. I’ve worked in early childhood education for over 10 years, both in Australia and overseas, and I enjoy creating learning experiences where children feel comfortable to be curious, creative and themselves. I’m particularly passionate about creative inquiry learning, outdoor play and thoughtfully weaving First Nations perspectives into our everyday experiences. I love supporting children as they explore, problem-solve and grow in confidence during this special year at Kindy.
​Stella Karvelas - Associate Diploma of Social Science (Child Studies) & Certificate in Child Care Studies – Group 2 Assistant Educator
I have been working as an Inclusion Support Worker/Casual Education Assistant at Mott Park Kindergarten since the middle of term 4 2025. I enjoy hearing children laugh, sing and make meaningful connections with their peers. I enjoy sharing stories with the children and watching them create masterpieces through art and craft. I look forward to being part of each child's journey as they navigate their way through this beautiful kindy. I am fortunate to work alongside amazing staff in both group 1 and group 2.

I have been fortunate to be part of the C&K family for over 15 years.
My two children also attended a C&K kindergarten and loved it.
It is rewarding for me to try and keep the kindy running smoothly and provide
strong support to the parents, committee and staff. I also really enjoy meeting new families and helping them transition to kindergarten life.
